ClassLink Unveils New Features and Innovations at CLON26 Conference

On March 3, 2026, ClassLink made a substantial impact during the sixth annual CLON 2026 conference, showcasing over two dozen capabilities and introducing a groundbreaking product called ClassLink Insights. These developments come in three key themes: Access, Automation, and Analytics, which were designed based on feedback from school systems.

The spotlight of the event was ClassLink Insights, the first-ever learning analytics platform that effectively connects edtech usage with student assessment scores. This innovation aims to bridge the gap between how educational tools are utilized and their actual impact on student learning outcomes.

Listening to the Needs of Education Systems

ClassLink’s strategic approach identified a trio of critical questions prevalent among educational institutions:

1. Does every person have what they need?
2. Does every process securely run itself?
3. Does every dollar prove its worth?

Barbara Nesbitt, VP of Product for ClassLink, stated, "We analyzed over 150 strategic plans, and it was clear—districts are focused on improving accessibility, reducing manual operations, and demonstrating the effectiveness of technology spending." These themes guide ClassLink’s latest offerings.

Enhancements in Access

Eleven new capabilities aimed at bolstering identity management and security were also presented during the conference. Students and staff members will have the convenience of signing into Windows PCs, Macs, and Chromebooks using their ClassLink credentials, allowing for a unified sign-in experience across various platforms. Tech leaders in educational institutions will benefit from enhanced tools, including Privileged Access Management, which comes with a full audit trail.

Automation Efforts

To reduce manual tasks in technology operations, six new functionalities were introduced that streamline various processes. For instance, districts will soon be able to provision and deprovision app accounts in real time using SCIM, along with ensuring that data flows seamlessly into their SIEM systems. Further developments in OneSync will allow schools to manage transitions like graduations and rollovers efficiently, while OneData will facilitate unlimited data source management.

Analytics that Demonstrate Value

With concerns over students' screen time being a hot topic in education, the Analytics+ platform will now feature app-level Screen Time reporting available at no extra cost. This tool will empower educational leaders with the necessary data to transition from concerns about screen usage to actionable insights regarding engagement and effectiveness.

ClassLink Insights: A New Era of Educational Analytics

The centerpiece of the announcements, ClassLink Insights, is a transformative tool that intends to reshape conversations around the effectiveness of purchased educational technologies. By merging user engagement metrics with assessment data, this platform will reveal more than just login statistics and test scores. It will allow educators to see any correlations between tool usage and learning improvements, guiding them in making informed decisions regarding their edtech investments.

Insights aims to foster productive discussions rather than provide definitive conclusions, as every finding is accompanied by thought-provoking questions to explore further. The platform is set to be available in Fall 2026, establishing a new standard in educational analytics.

Looking Ahead

For those eager to learn more about the features revealed at CLON26, ClassLink will host a webinar in April offering a complete overview of all 24 new items. Educators and technology leaders can register for this insightful event at classlink.com.
