CIO 30 JAPAN Award 2025: Call for Entries
On October 14, 2025, the CIO JAPAN editorial team announced the opening of nominations for the
CIO 30 JAPAN Award 2025. This prestigious award recognizes domestic companies and senior technology leaders who have made significant contributions to digital innovation.
The primary goal of the CIO 30 JAPAN Award is to publicly acknowledge the achievements driven by CIOs and IT leaders in their organizations, showcasing their contributions to business growth. By highlighting these accomplishments, the award aims to enhance the public presence of these leaders and build external trust.
As digital transformation (DX) and generative AI technologies rapidly evolve and integrate into society, the role of CIOs and IT departments is becoming increasingly vital. The CIO 30 JAPAN Award seeks to honor forward-thinking leaders and their corresponding organizations that have embraced innovative practices, aiming to improve the digital competitiveness of domestic businesses while inspiring the next generation of CIOs and IT leaders.
Winners will be announced at the in-person ceremony for the
CIO 30 JAPAN Award 2025 on December 12, 2025, providing a platform for these innovators to be showcased nationally and globally.
Categories for Recognition
This year, awards will be conferred across five distinct categories, with the following considerations:

Grand Prize: This award celebrates companies that enhance the overall operation of IT and impact both business and operational aspects significantly through innovative approaches.
2.
Strategy Award: Recognizes companies that have strengthened internal and external collaborations, contributing significantly to the achievement of strategic business objectives.
3.
Digital Transformation Award: Awards companies that have increased business value through DX and implemented innovative technologies leading to transformative operational changes.
4.
AI Award: Acknowledges businesses leveraging generative AI to improve business value, operational efficiency, and resolve IT challenges while showcasing their impact on the market.
5.
Talent Award: Honors organizations committed to the development and fortification of their IT personnel, which includes promoting skill enhancement and nurturing team growth.

To increase the chances of being awarded, nominees are encouraged to present challenges, approaches, and outcomes using technology, supported by relevant data and real-world testimonials.
The evaluation process will consider various factors, such as innovation, impact, and sustainability, with judges comprised of CIO.com editorial directors, analysts, and academics.
