Aeson Power Unveils Revolutionary Sodium-Ion Solutions at Data Centre World Asia 2025

In a significant showcase at Data Centre World Asia 2025 held in Singapore, Aeson Power, an Australian leader in integrated energy solutions, revealed its latest innovations in sodium-ion and bipolar battery technologies. As the demand for reliable energy solutions continues to surge, particularly in data centers and telecommunications, Aeson Power has stepped up with advanced offerings designed to ensure efficiency, safety, and stability.

Innovations Showcased

Aeson Power unveiled a comprehensive suite of backup power solutions tailored for high-demand environments, focusing on three main sodium-ion battery technologies:

1. High-Performance Backup for Internet Data Centers (IDCs)

Aeson’s cutting-edge solution employs a high-speed sodium-ion battery rated at 6C, featuring modular packs of 48V80Ah. This innovative approach dramatically replaces conventional lead-acid systems (12V200Ah), with a remarkable 70% reduction in overall battery capacity. Moreover, size and weight are reduced by more than 50%, alongside a substantial reduction of over 50% in cooling energy consumption.

2. Outdoor Resilience for Telecommunications

The company introduced a standard 48V50Ah sodium-ion module designed specifically for challenging communication network conditions. This module can withstand extreme climates, operating effectively in temperatures ranging from -40°C to high heat levels. When compared to lithium-ion alternatives, this battery offers a longer lifespan, enhanced safety, and more predictable long-term costs, making it an ideal solution for outdoor telecommunication stations.

3. General Replacement Batteries for UPS Systems

Targeting regions with unstable energy grids in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa, Aeson Power presented a 12V100Ah sodium-ion battery. It packs a lightweight advantage, weighing 50% less than traditional lead-acid batteries. Further, it offers over a 25% increase in operational duration and boasts a cycle life that is five times longer than counterparts, ensuring reliable energy during critical moments.

Advanced Bipolar Technology

In addition to sodium-ion solutions, Aeson Power highlighted its new bipolar battery technology aimed at large-scale IDCs. The TUS series leverages cutting-edge bipolar plates and 3D stacking connection technology, resulting in a significant 70% reduction in internal resistance. This innovation translates to approximately 0.9V increased discharge voltage per 12V unit, alongside a 35% boost in power density over a five-minute period. The compact design not only decreases size and weight by over 15% but also serves as a cost-effective alternative to traditional high-rate lead-acid batteries.

A Legacy of Reliability

Drawing from 30 years of expertise in the manufacturing of lead-acid batteries in China, Aeson Power remains committed to providing both reliable and cost-effective lead-acid technologies. Utilizing advanced processes such as CCCP and COS, the HR series caters to short-duration backup needs for IDCs, while the FAB series is ideal for long-duration standby applications.

As a trusted global provider of energy storage solutions and batteries, Aeson Power's commitment to delivering safe, clean, and affordable energy solutions shines through. By bringing sodium-ion battery innovations and advanced backup power systems to diverse industries around the world, the company establishes new benchmarks in performance and reliability. This positions Aeson Power as a forefront leader in sodium-ion battery solutions for telecommunications and UPS applications, shaping the future of energy storage technologies.
