Nagasaki's Goto Islands' Seasonal Favorite Aji Fry Available Nationwide

Aji Fry from Goto Islands: A Seasonal Sensation

Starting June 1st, the beloved Aji Fry (fried horse mackerel) from the Goto Islands of Nagasaki Prefecture will be available at all delis operated by Shinjuku Saboten, a popular tonkatsu restaurant chain. With a history of delighting customers during this season, Aji Fry promises to continue its legacy of flavorful goodness.

Why Aji Fry is a Must-Try

The Aji Fry offered by Saboten features fresh horse mackerel sourced from the rich waters surrounding Goto Islands. These fish are known for their tender, thick fillets that are both juicy and flavorful. Whether enjoyed at a restaurant or at home, this dish has a way of captivating anyone who tries it.

To enhance your tasting experience, we recommend pairing the Aji Fry with our special lemon-infused tartar sauce or a refreshing grated daikon ponzu. These accompaniments elevate the taste, making every bite a symphony of flavors.

This modification reduces calories by approximately 150kcal compared to the standard bento and also provides an excellent source of dietary fiber. Additionally, we include our flavorful grated ponzu to enhance the taste of the cabbage.
