LIFULL ArchiTech, a group company under LIFULL, entered a collaborative agreement with ELDNACS, led by CANDLE JUNE, on July 15, 2025. The agreement aims to develop a sustainable living support model that addresses pressing community needs during different phases: normalcy, disaster events, and post-disaster recovery. The first project under this collaboration kicked off at the popular PYRAMID GARDEN -Beyond the Festival- during the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, held on July 19 and 20, 2025.

Connecting Disaster Support with Daily Living

In the context of disaster response, it is vital to provide ongoing support beyond initial assistance, facilitating communities’ recovery and development. CANDLE JUNE has been actively involved in disaster relief efforts, connecting various supporters to foster smiles within affected communities. This includes food distribution, material provision, and creating festive atmospheres through events like Candle Nights.

Through this collaboration, the synergy of ELDNACS’ grassroots knowledge from on-site initiatives and LIFULL ArchiTech’s expertise in developing sustainable housing will lead to a physical space that evolves from a safe haven into a community hub. Instant Houses, designed for rapid assembly in mere hours, play a pivotal role in this vision.

LIFULL ArchiTech has previously supported disaster relief efforts in response to significant earthquakes in Turkey-Syria and Myanmar, showcasing the versatility of Instant Houses. By pre-establishing these facilities, they can pivot to emergency use seamlessly. This phase-free concept assures that communities are always prepared, allowing for smooth transitions between normalcy and emergencies.

During the PYRAMID GARDEN event, visitors experienced the cooling capabilities of Instant Houses, designed to relieve heat during summer music festivals. This installation not only showcased the structure's insulation properties but also served as an interactive platform for sharing disaster recovery narratives, connecting participants to the broader narrative of community resilience.
