Takarabune's 30th Anniversary Celebration

The NEO Awa Odori Group Takarabune is set to commemorate its 30th anniversary with an extraordinary live event on October 18, 2025, at Shibuya Stream Hall. Founded in 1995, Takarabune stands as the only professional Awa Odori group in Japan, having consistently captivated audiences with its innovative performances while honoring traditional dance forms.

Takarabune has a rich history of challenging conventions and exploring the endless possibilities of Japanese performing arts. Since becoming a corporation in 2012, it has expanded its outreach, performing across 26 countries and 72 cities. Notably, since 2014, Takarabune has been a mainstay at the iconic Japan Expo Paris, where it has been the closing act for seven consecutive years. The group has also ventured into international tours, including a coast-to-coast tour across nine cities in the United States in 2018, and a tour of 14 cities in five Central American and Caribbean nations in 2020.

In 2022, Takarabune made history by performing a solo outdoor concert in front of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, marking a first for a Japanese artist under the auspices of the Gaudi Association. The group’s ability to creatively collaborate with various genres has led to notable appearances, including a special stage with the band nobodyknows+ on the TBS music show “CDTV Live! Live!”. Furthermore, Takarabune has hosted prominent artists such as DJ KOO, FISHBOY, and DJ Dyno during their own events, thereby showcasing the synergy between different entertainment fields.
