Jutta Mikkola Takes the Helm as Senior VP of Investor Relations at Stora Enso

Stora Enso, a global leader in renewable solutions and sustainable forestry products, has recently announced a significant leadership change within its corporate structure. Effective May 22, 2025, Jutta Mikkola will step into the role of Senior Vice President and head of Investor Relations. This move is poised to strengthen the company’s communication with its investors and shareholders, crucial in a landscape that demands transparency and strategic engagement.

Jutta brings to her new role a wealth of experience, having spent the last eight years with Stora Enso in various business and financial leadership capacities. Notably, she served as Vice President within the Investor Relations team prior to her appointment as Senior VP. Her extensive knowledge of the company, combined with a robust finance background honed at KPMG as a Certified Public Accountant, positions her for success in this new venture. Jutta holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance, underscoring her expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes.

The announcement also marks a transition for Anna-Lena Åström, who has served as the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. Åström is leaving Stora Enso to pursue another opportunity, and her contributions during her tenure have been highly valued by the company. Niclas Rosenlew, the Chief Financial Officer at Stora Enso, expressed his enthusiasm for Jutta’s new role. He stated, "We welcome Jutta to lead Stora Enso's IR team. Jutta's strong financial background coupled with her extensive experience of Stora Enso's business will be key in continuing to build important relationships with the investor and shareholder communities. I also want to thank Anna-Lena for her many contributions whilst she has been in the role and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours."

Founded on the principles of sustainable practices, Stora Enso advocates for a future where products traditionally made from fossil fuels can be replaced with renewable resources derived from trees. As one of the largest private forest owners globally, the company is at the forefront of innovation in packaging, biomaterials, and wooden construction. In 2024, Stora Enso employed approximately 19,000 individuals and reported Group sales amounting to EUR 9 billion. The company's shares are traded on various platforms, including Nasdaq Helsinki and Nasdaq Stockholm, and are also listed under various symbols in the USA’s OTC Markets.

As Jutta Mikkola embarks on her new role, the focus remains steadfast on fostering strong connections and trust with the investment community. With her leadership, Stora Enso aims to enhance investor confidence while promoting a sustainable future through innovative and greener product solutions. The future looks bright under Mikkola's guidance as the company continues to embrace change in an ever-evolving industry landscape. By prioritizing transparency and building lasting relationships with investors, Stora Enso demonstrates its commitment to not only its current stakeholders but its long-term vision for success and sustainability in the forestry product domain.
