Geekz Ventures Opens New Application Cycle for 2025 Accelerator Program
ATLANTA, Aug. 26, 2025 – Geekz Ventures, a U.S.-based incubator, is excited to announce the opening of applications for the highly anticipated second edition of its GROWTH pre-accelerator program. Designed for innovators ready to scale, GROWTH invites up to ten pioneering startups to embark on a ten-week journey of mentorship, education, and community engagement aimed at accelerating their growth.
The GROWTH program specifically targets underestimated founders who are working on high-potential, tech-enabled startups. With a broad focus that is not tied to any specific industry, the curriculum will predominantly address sectors related to MediaTech, Connectivity, Entertainment, and Mobile Technology.
What to Expect from the GROWTH Program
Participants in the GROWTH program can anticipate a robust structure that includes:
- - Access to Community: Join a network of like-minded founders and industry professionals.
- - Comprehensive Curriculum: Engage in training sessions that cover essential business topics from customer discovery to product validation and fundraising preparation.
- - Mentorship and Support: Benefit from hands-on mentorship, enabling participants to refine their ideas and strategies for capturing their first paying customers.
- - Equity-Free Micro-Grants: Each startup will receive resources to launch their business without the burden of giving up equity.
Launched in 2023, the inaugural GROWTH cohort was a resounding success, with ten selected startups receiving comprehensive training, mentorship, and resources to establish their footing in the industry. Founders from the first cohort experienced significant advancements in their business operations and market strategies thanks to the support from Geekz Ventures.
Cary Wheelous, CEO of Hayti and a participant in the inaugural program, emphasized its transformative nature: "The pre-accelerator provided us with critical insights into business operations, sales, and product-market fit that directly fueled our rapid expansion. Kunbi's strategic guidance was invaluable for building our brand and expanding our user base."
Similarly, Sophronia McKenzie, CEO of visuEats, highlighted the experience as a pivotal moment for her startup, stating, "This program sharpened our go-to-market strategy and enabled us to position visuEats as the Caribbean's first global marketplace for restaurants. We are grateful to be part of such an innovative community."
Looking Ahead
Geekz Ventures is eager to nurture a fresh crop of startups in the upcoming cohort. Kunbi Tinuoye, the founder and Executive Director of Geekz Ventures, expressed her excitement: "The startups from our first cohort have exceeded my expectations. I am thrilled to continue supporting ambitious founders whose ideas can scale."
Brandon Wilkins will return as Program Manager for this new group. Reflecting on his role, Wilkins shared, "Joining Geekz Ventures' latest pre-accelerator signifies my commitment to the community. I am passionate about helping founders in this journey and creating programs that drive both business growth and meaningful social impact."
Applications are now open on the Geekz Ventures website. Applicants will be evaluated based on their product, potential market impact, and scalability. Early-stage founders with innovative tech-enabled concepts are highly encouraged to apply, as spots are limited and interest is expected to be high.
