DAC Seven Summits Adventure Classroom Expands Nationally
The DAC Group's initiative, represented by the DAC Future Support Cultural Organization, is excited to announce the launch of the "DAC 47 Summits Nationwide Adventure Classroom Caravan". This program aims to share the valuable lessons learned from climbing the highest peaks on all seven continents with the next generation.
This groundbreaking project will focus on schools in the 33 prefectures that have yet to host an 'Adventure Classroom'. The goal is to encourage students to take that brave first step towards their dreams. Special provisions, including complimentary transportation for instructors from its inaugural locations, are being offered to schools that are just starting with this initiative.
What is the DAC Seven Summits Adventure Classroom?
Unlike typical lessons taught by professional adventurers, the DAC Adventure Classroom is presented by ordinary working adults. These instructors connect with children on a personal level, serving as relatable figures in their lives. In celebration of the company's 50th anniversary, the DAC Group undertook the ambitious "DAC Seven Summits Project" in which team members summited all seven peaks in a relay style. Through resilience and teamwork, they achieved this remarkable feat in 2018.
The purpose of this classroom is not just to educate; it's to inspire. The DAC Group believes that sharing this unique experience transcends typical corporate contributions. By demonstrating how everyday individuals can accomplish extraordinary goals, the program fosters a sense of possibility among students. Instead of seeing challenges as barriers, children learn to view them as opportunities for growth, encouraging them to embark on their own journeys.

Educational Significance of the Program
In today's unpredictable world, fostering non-cognitive skills and independent thinking is crucial for children. The Adventure Classroom aligns with the educational goals set forth by the Ministry of Education, providing an engaging and motivational experience designed to build children’s human potential. The program aims to instill:
1.
Courage to Take the First Step (Career Education): Instructors share their own fears and how they overcame them, illustrating that success comes from perseverance and not just innate talent.
2.
Persistence and the Value of Teamwork (Moral Education): Engaging with themes of resilience allows students to understand the importance of gratitude and support from others, developing empathy in facing challenges.
3.
Real Experiences (Exploratory Learning): Workshops provide hands-on experiences with real climbing equipment and impactful visuals of extreme environments, igniting students' curiosity and passion for exploration. Students also receive summaries to help them reflect on what they've learned.
Student Feedback
Participants of past Adventure Classrooms have shared their emotional responses:
- - "The idea of ‘I can’t’ changed to ‘I believe I can.’ This lesson truly moved me."
- - "This program inspired me to tackle challenges I was once afraid of."
- - "Courage is the key to becoming the person I want to be."
- - "I learned just how much potential I have within me."
- - "Instead of focusing on what I can’t do, I want to remember what I want to do."
Such engaging and genuine experiences stand out as a valuable opportunity for students, extending beyond conventional career education into meaningful life lessons. Educators have praised the program for its ability to deepen students' understanding of themselves and the world.
Background of the Project: Aiming for All 47 Prefectures
