On September 5th, 2026, the Grand Mercure Lake Biwa Resort & Spa, nestled by the serene shores of Lake Biwa in Nagahama, will host an extraordinary whisky seminar. Partnering with the Nagahama Roman Beer Company, renowned for its craft beers and unique whiskies, this one-day-only event offers participants a chance to dive deep into the intricate world of Japanese whisky production.
About the Event
The seminar will provide a riveting insight into the operations of the Nagahama Distillery, often recognized as the smallest whisky distillery in Japan. Occurring on the hotel's 13th floor from 5 PM to 7 PM, attendees will be treated to:
- A mini-lecture by the whisky production staff,
- A guided tasting session of various whiskies,
- An exciting blending experience where guests can create their own unique whisky blend, which they can take home (700ml allowed per room).
