Wood Change 2025: Embracing the Beauty of Japanese Wood at Expo 2025
The highly anticipated Expo 2025 Osaka will feature a unique exhibit titled "Wood Change 2025 – Let's Use Japanese Wood." This special display, set within the Future Life Village, aims to immerse visitors in the endless possibilities of Japan's forests.
The Vision Behind Wood Change 2025
With approximately two-thirds of Japan's land covered by lush forests, the exhibit will showcase award-winning designs and art pieces that creatively merge the warmth of wood with innovative functionality. Visitors can expect to see how wood is not only a significant resource for our daily lives but also a sustainable material vital in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
One of the key messages of "Wood Change 2025" is the concept of a circular system: "Cut, Use, Plant, and Nurture." This model highlights how utilizing domestic timber can contribute to environmental conservation while fostering a prosperous future society.
A Sensory Experience
The exhibit promises to be an engaging multi-sensory experience, allowing attendees to directly connect with the charm of wood. By creating a space where people can ponder the future of coexisting with wood, the organizers aim to stimulate discussions and ideas concerning timber usage.
Participate in Our Survey
To collectively shape the future of Japan's forests and forestry industries, an on-site survey will invite visitors to share their thoughts after experiencing the exhibit. The insights gathered will be invaluable in enhancing future forest management and increasing awareness of wood's potential benefits for society. We encourage everyone to participate and share their valuable opinions.
Complimentary Eco-Bags for Participants
As a token of appreciation for participating in the survey, visitors will receive an original eco-bag designed for "Wood Change 2025." The bag features the slogan "Wood Change" alongside a message promoting a sustainable future with wood at its core. This thoughtful piece not only highlights functionality and design but also encourages individuals to integrate the principles of "Wood Change" into their daily lives post-Expo.
Please note that the number of eco-bags is limited. Once we reach the distribution cap, we may be unable to provide additional bags, so make sure to participate early!
