Nauticus Robotics Unveils Plans to Acquire SeaTrepid International in Strategic Move

Nauticus Robotics to Acquire SeaTrepid International

Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ: KITT), an innovator in autonomous subsea robotics and software solutions, has made a significant announcement regarding their intent to acquire SeaTrepid International, LLC. This strategic acquisition marks a pivotal move for Nauticus as it aims to enhance its service offerings and expand its market footprint in 2025.

In a definitive agreement signed recently, Nauticus will take over all of SeaTrepid's assets and business operations. SeaTrepid is well-regarded for its expertise in providing subsea robotic services to a global clientele, making this acquisition valuable for Nauticus in strengthening its competitive edge.

The integration of Nauticus's advanced AI-driven autonomy software, ToolKITT, into SeaTrepid's existing remotely operated vehicle (ROV) fleet is expected to produce notable gains in power efficiency and operational performance. By enabling seamless communication between ROVs and Aquanaut—Nauticus’s cutting-edge underwater vehicle—this partnership will unlock unprecedented service opportunities in underwater operations, paving the way for innovative and collaborative solutions.

As a result of this acquisition, Nauticus anticipates that the combined entity's revenue will soar, projected to be nearly nine times greater than Nauticus’s standalone revenue for 2024. This ambitious growth reflects the increasing demands for sophisticated subsea solutions that have become commonplace in the offshore sector.

Leading the charge in this strategic merger will be John Gibson, who will continue as CEO and President of the newly formed company. Bob Christ, the CEO of SeaTrepid, known for his influential work, including co-authoring
