Chicago Auto Show's Charity Gala Returns in 2026 to Support Local Nonprofits

Chicago Auto Show's Gala: First Look for Charity 2026

The highly anticipated First Look for Charity gala will be held on February 6, 2026, at the McCormick Place in Chicago, from 7 PM to 11 PM. This event marks the 34th occurrence of this black-tie gala, which is produced by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA). Over the years, the event has successfully raised more than $2 million annually, benefiting 18 local nonprofits in the Chicago area.

This exclusive event offers attendees a unique opportunity to preview the Chicago Auto Show before its public opening on February 7, 2026. Guests will indulge in gourmet food and drinks presented by local restaurants, enjoy specialty cocktails, and experience live music that will fill the show floor with energy and excitement. Participating food and beverage sponsors include renowned local establishments such as Andy's Frozen Custard, Carnivale, Eris Brewery & Cider House, and Morton's The Steakhouse, ensuring a memorable culinary experience.

In addition to the fine dining and entertainment, gala participants will also have the chance to win one of two brand new vehicles, a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox or a 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid. Every ticket holder will be eligible for the drawing, but they must be present to claim the prize, adding an element of excitement to the night.

Highlighting the event's significance, Jason Roberts, chairman of the Chicago Auto Show, remarked, "First Look for Charity makes a meaningful difference far beyond one night. It's an evening that blends the thrill of the Auto Show with the power of giving, helping charities that are right here in our backyards doing the hard work to support our neighbors and communities."

Notably, First Look for Charity has raised over $65 million for local charities since its inception, reflecting the strong commitment of CATA and its dealer members to support their communities year-round through the Chicagoland Dealers Care program.

The beneficiaries of the 2026 First Look for Charity gala include reputable organizations such as the 100 Club of Illinois, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, and Special Olympics Illinois, among others.

Another highlight of the gala is the partnership with Men's Wearhouse, which serves as the exclusive formalwear sponsor. The collaboration offers tuxedo rentals and purchases at a discounted rate for attendees, making it easier for guests to attend in style. Furthermore, Men's Wearhouse will provide a selection of on-site tuxedo rentals for added convenience, contributing to the event’s success.

Tickets for the gala are priced at $325, with $283.84 of that amount being tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. All tickets are digital this year, enhancing ease of access and streamlining check-ins for attendees. Ticket buyers can also designate which charity or charities will receive their contributions, with an option to share their donation equally among all 18 participating organizations.

For those interested in attending this remarkable evening of generosity and automotive excitement, tickets can be purchased online at FirstLookforCharity.org.
