Upcoming Quantum Human Resource Development Symposium to Foster Collaboration and Innovation

Quantum Human Resource Development Symposium - Current Status and Future Prospects

The anticipated Quantum Human Resource Development Symposium will occur on March 11, 2026, through a hybrid format that allows both in-person and online participation. This event aims to gather key stakeholders from various sectors, including government agencies, educational institutions, and private enterprises involved in quantum talent initiatives across Japan.

The symposium intends to offer a platform for information exchange and collaboration among participants who are considering engaging in quantum talent development programs. By visualizing policies, projects, and initiatives related to training in quantum fields, the event aims to accelerate network creation within this innovative space.

The following organizations will co-host the symposium: Cabinet Office, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and the National Institute for Quantum Science and Technology. These institutions work in connection with strategic innovation programs like SIP Phase 3, which promotes the application of advanced quantum technologies in addressing societal issues, and the BRIDGE program aimed at bridging research and Society 5.0. The symposium also supports the Q-LEAP flagship program, fostering cross-institutional cooperation and information sharing in quantum talent development.

During the symposium, not only will educational professionals and operators who are considering participation in quantum human resource development get insights into the initiatives, but also students and working professionals across various specialties will be provided with essential information to extend their participation in relevant projects and programs. This approach seeks not only to amplify the development of next-generation quantum talent but also to build a proactive quantum ecosystem in Japan at an accelerated pace.

This event is open to many stakeholders who may not be directly involved in the quantum field but are interested in related themes. Engagement from a diverse audience is highly encouraged to foster a broader understanding and appreciation of quantum technologies.
