Proud Partners Acquires One Visa Business to Enhance Skill-Based Employment Services

Proud Partners Enhances It's Support for Foreign Skill-Based Workers

Proud Partners, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has taken a noteworthy step towards enhancing its services for foreign human resources. The company, under the leadership of CEO Ryuji Suzuki, has officially acquired the immigration support services from technology venture One Visa. This acquisition, effective from October 22, 2025, signifies a strategic move to refine and relaunch the immigration application support system with a strong focus on specific skill sets.

With this move, Proud Partners aims to adapt One Visa's existing web service, which has already integrated over 2,000 companies, into a specialized platform dedicated to efficient application documentation for foreign personnel in Japan. This initiative is essential in establishing an industry standard that allows hiring support to be both fair and transparent across various sectors, especially in construction and logistics, where foreign workers are increasingly essential.

The Rise of Foreign Skill-Based Human Resources

Due to ongoing labor shortages across Japanese industries, particularly in construction and logistics, foreign skill-based workers have become a vital part of business strategies. Recent legislative changes, like the enforcement of strict overtime limits starting in April 2024, have put added pressure on these industries to adapt and find sustainable solutions. As a result, the integration of foreign workers is being seen as a key strategy for overcoming these challenges.

Proud Partners has been at the forefront of addressing this issue, having provided support to over 5,700 foreign skilled workers across 1,381 companies and 3,624 establishments, focusing on the construction and food service industries. The acquisition of One Visa allows Proud Partners to enhance its capabilities further, thus contributing positively to Japan’s workplace diversity and integration.

Looking Ahead After the Acquisition of One Visa

The merger aims for more than just administrative efficiency; it seeks to create a new standard for employing foreign persons. By ensuring that they can work fairly and seamlessly, Proud Partners looks to solidify its support structure that benefits both employers and employees alike. Albert Okamura, CEO of One Visa, shares that the personalization of services in immigration and employment has often led to bureaucratic bottlenecks. Through the integration of One Visa's expertise and the established operational framework of Proud Partners, they hope to alleviate these pain points and facilitate smooth application processes for foreign workers.

This restructuring is expected to vastly improve how businesses engage with and support foreign human resources, allowing for a more efficient onboarding process and integration into Japanese society.

Establishing Fairness Through Technology

Both corporate leaders emphasize the importance of using technological advancements to tackle existing barriers in the employment landscape for foreign workers. The collaborative efforts of Proud Partners and One Visa will not only ensure compliance with relevant laws but also foster a working environment that values respect and cultural integration.

To highlight both leaders' commitment, Ryuji Suzuki mentioned, “Since its inception, Proud Partners has championed a vision of creating a world that values equality and borderless opportunities. We aim to enhance our aid system to boost digital transformation at the ground level.”

Meanwhile, Albert Okamura expressed an urgency to alleviate the bureaucratic challenges in employment processes with the intent of fostering an environment where foreign workers can thrive.
