Wounded Warrior Project Welcomes New Leadership Team
The Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has unveiled exciting changes in its leadership structure, announcing the appointment of Bill Selman as the new chair of its board of directors, along with six additional members. This newly expanded board, now comprising 14 directors, is set to leverage a wealth of experience from various sectors including military service, healthcare, technology, finance, and law, aimed at addressing the evolving needs of veterans and their families.
Who Are the New Directors?
The diversity of backgrounds among the new board members highlights WWP's commitment to enhancing its support for service members and their families. Here are the profiles of the six new directors:
- - Juan C. Andrade: As the president and CEO of USAA, Andrade leads one of the largest financial services organizations dedicated to military families. His notable career includes significant roles within the Department of Defense and the White House, where he received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service.
- - Anjali Chaturvedi: Serving as the vice president and chief ethics officer at BAE Systems, Chaturvedi brings over three decades of expertise in law and corporate governance. Her previous experience includes roles within the U.S. Department of Justice and various prestigious organizations.
- - Dr. Telita Crosland: A retired US Army lieutenant general and medical professional, Dr. Crosland has extensive experience in healthcare leadership. Most recently she oversaw the Defense Health Agency, responsible for a global health enterprise serving millions, where she spearheaded significant modern advancements.
