Experience Taiwan Culture through Your Senses: Taiwan Faasai 2025

The Taiwan Faasai 2025 festival invites you to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Taiwan over three exciting days, from August 29 to August 31, 2025. Held in the picturesque Ueno Park at the Bamboo Square (Fountain Square), this event promises a lively atmosphere reminiscent of Taiwan's bustling night markets.

A Culinary Journey

As you stroll through the festival grounds, your taste buds will be treated to authentic Taiwanese delicacies. Sample mouthwatering Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice), and Da Ji Pai (Taiwanese fried chicken), among other regional favorites. The festival does not just stop at food; it also features a vibrant marketplace filled with various Taiwanese goods, allowing visitors to take home a piece of Taiwan.

Fun for Everyone

One of the highlights of the Taiwan Faasai festival is its interactive entertainment. The event will include traditional games such as shooting and fun activities like tarot card readings and palmistry. Attendees of all ages can engage in these enjoyable events, fostering a sense of community and cultural exchange.

Performance enthusiasts will have the chance to witness captivating sights like the Lion Dance and the San Tai Zi performance. This rich array of activities is designed to engage all your senses, providing a unique opportunity to experience Taiwan's vibrant culture first-hand.

The Significance of Taiwan Faasai

The event's name, 'Faasai', is a clever play on the Taiwanese phrase for wealth ('發財', pronounced Fa Tsai). This phrase is frequently used during the Lunar New Year, symbolizing the wish for prosperity and good luck. The organizers of Taiwan Faasai hope that all attendees leave the festival with a sense of joy and abundance.

Calling for Vendors and Volunteers

In addition to festive enjoyment, the Taiwan Faasai is also on the lookout for vendors who can contribute to the event's thriving atmosphere. Those interested can apply by reviewing the vendor application guidelines available online. The application deadline is July 23, 2025, with selection notifications sent out by July 25, 2025.

Additionally, the festival seeks enthusiastic volunteers to help ensure a smooth operation. If you would like to contribute, you must have a LINE account for communication. The event coordinators will manage communications through a dedicated volunteer LINE group, ensuring privacy and comfort during discussions. Volunteers must be over 18 years old and able to participate in outdoor activities.
