From July 27 to August 2, 2026, the National High School Comprehensive Athletic Championship Basketball Tournament took place in Osaka, showcasing remarkable performances from VITAS-supported schools. Notably, Fukuoka University’s Fukuoka Daitohri High School celebrated their fifth national championship title after a nine-year hiatus, while Sakura Gakuen High School proudly claimed the third place. This event highlighted the dedication, training, and teamwork exhibited by youth athletes and their supporters.

Fukuoka Daitohri High School Triumphs with Outstanding Play

In the men’s finals, Fukuoka Daitohri High School faced Hokuriku High School from Fukui Prefecture, securing a commanding 85-62 victory. This win not only marked their fifth Inter-High title since 2017 but also underscored their achievement of consecutive titles in both winter and summer tournaments. The team's gradual domination of the game reflected their robust training regimen and depth of talent, as they showcased their comprehensive abilities throughout the match.
