SIMONA AMERICA Industries Commences Major Expansion in Archbald, PA

SIMONA AMERICA Industries (SAI), a prominent subsidiary of the SIMONA AMERICA Group, has officially broken ground on a significant expansion project at its facility located in Archbald, Pennsylvania. This ambitious initiative, worth an estimated $25 million, is designed to extend the manufacturing area by adding an impressive 155,000 square feet of space. This expansion is not merely an addition; it signifies a vital step in the company's strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and assert its commitment to the U.S. market.

The completed structure is expected to be operational by early the third quarter of 2026, introducing state-of-the-art extrusion and fabrication technology to the facility. Among the new features will be the SL12 production line, enhancing SAI's production abilities, particularly in advanced partition materials and a variety of performance thermoplastics. This strategic improvement reflects SIMONA's long-term growth aspirations and dedication to enriching the customer experience with innovative and high-quality solutions.

CEO Adam Mellen stated, "This expansion represents a significant advancement in SIMONA's strategy for sustained growth. By enhancing our manufacturing capacity and integrating new technologies, we are improving our service to customers while continuously investing in our workforce and local community." The addition of new production lines will enable SAI to meet the burgeoning market demands across various sectors such as chemical processing, semiconductor fabrication, marine applications, outdoor living, food and beverage industries, as well as retail displays and medical orthotics.

As the facility expands, it will also generate over 25 new job opportunities in sectors including manufacturing, shipping, and logistics, thereby contributing positively to the local economy of Lackawanna County. The strategic location of this facility, with convenient access to railroads and interstate highways, further facilitates efficient distribution throughout the nation, bolstering SAI's capacity to cater to a growing and diverse customer base.
