Times Car and Osaka Metro Collaborate for EV Car Share Campaign

In a groundbreaking initiative, Times Mobility Co., Ltd., based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has joined forces with Osaka Metro Co., Ltd., headquartered in Osaka City. Starting September 1, 2026, they will launch the "EV Roadside Car Share x Osaka Point Gift Campaign," aimed at promoting the use of electric vehicles (EVs) through convenient car-sharing services.

The campaign is part of a larger effort by Times Mobility to engage in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's project that aims to experiment with EV roadside car sharing. Beginning October 2024, they will set up EV car-sharing stations at five strategic locations along national roads in Osaka City. This initiative focuses on enhancing the convenience of transfers from public transport while aiming to reduce CO2 emissions, improve traffic accessibility, and evaluate the effective use of EVs during emergencies.

To incentivize users, the newly launched campaign aims to gather more participants for EV roadside car sharing services. From September 1 to November 3, campaign participants who enter through a special page and utilize designated stations will be eligible for a chance to win one of 26 prizes: 2,026 points in the Osaka Point service, which can be used at various Osaka Metro stations and affiliated stores.
