What to Expect
This year’s festival will be a spectacular display of
cutting-edge projection mapping featuring three iconic structures: the
Hōzōmon Gate, the
Five-Story Pagoda, and the important cultural property, the
Nitenmon Gate. Attendees will be treated to
digital animations and stunning visuals inspired by the 1,400 years of history and culture of Senso-ji. Best of all, viewing the projection mapping is
free and does not require prior registration.
Aside from the exciting projections, attendees will enjoy exclusive access to the normally closed
Denkoin Garden and the
Ema Hall, which houses historical ema (votive tablets) painted by renowned artists like
Utagawa Kuniyoshi and
Hasegawa Yukinobu. Special daytime and nighttime tours will be available, allowing guests to explore these hidden treasures within Senso-ji Temple at a fee with prior registration.

Nakamise Street, ensuring a captivating sight for all onlookers. As the event anticipates significant crowds, it is advisable to visit later in the evening to avoid the initial rush.
Please note, due to safety and comfort reasons, some restrictions regarding equipment like tripods and drones will be enforced on-site.
