Trilogy Metals Starts 2026 Summer Field Program in Alaska

Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) has officially commenced its summer field operations for 2026 at the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects (UKMP) located in northwestern Alaska's Ambler Mining District. With field crews mobilized to the site, the initiative aims to advance two significant high-grade deposits: the Arctic polymetallic deposit and the Bornite copper-cobalt deposit.

A Comprehensive Exploration Initiative

This year's program is fully funded and poised to execute critical technical, environmental, and exploration activities, essential for preparing the Arctic Project for future development. The Arctic Project is recognized globally as one of the highest-grade, undeveloped open-pittable copper deposits, boasting an average estimated grade around 5% copper equivalent. With additional valuable precious metal credits, the project has a significant potential for returns.

The program includes approximately 40 drill holes designed to finalize engineering plans for Arctic's development. This drilling effort aims to cover about 5,400 meters, primarily in areas critical for mine design and infrastructure placement. Preliminary studies indicate that a considerable number of holes would be deepened to further investigate targets along the Arctic mineral horizon, particularly areas showing promise for volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) mineralization.

Infrastructure Growth and Future Development

In addition, the program will focus on upgrading the Bornite camp to facilitate a more robust exploration and development pace planned for the upcoming years. The Bornite deposit is expected to produce around 1.9 billion pounds of copper over a projected mine life of 17 years, extending the district's mining activity significantly into the future.

The exploration also targets the historical VMS occurrences and electromagnetic anomalies distributed across the UKMP, intending to readiness possible drilling targets for 2027.
