Aphranel® Celebrates Major Milestones with First Anniversary Event in Shanghai
Aphranel® Celebrates Its First Anniversary in Shanghai
On May 20, 2026, Aphranel® commemorated a significant milestone at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, marking the brand's first anniversary. This occasion was not just about celebrating a year in business, but also recognizing Aphranel®'s remarkable achievements within the aesthetics and regenerative fields.
Aphranel®, recognized for its innovative approach to regenerative aesthetics, has made considerable strides since its official global launch on May 8, 2025, when it became the first brand in China to receive Class III approval for a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere injectable facial filler. This momentous first year has seen the company not only achieve regulatory milestones internationally, but also establish a strong market presence.
In just one year, Aphranel® delivered over 150,000 syringes across 28 provinces and 94 cities in China. The company partnered with more than 620 medical clinics and certified over 700 doctors nationwide, demonstrating the growing acceptance and credibility of its products in an increasingly competitive regenerative aesthetics market.
During the anniversary summit, Aphranel® announced it had received EU MDR certification under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, becoming the first injectable facial filler created and manufactured in China to achieve this certification. This achievement reflects Aphranel®'s commitment to high standards of safety and effectiveness, having undergone an extensive certification process lasting two years and seven months, which included over 6,381 pages of technical documentation and more than 120 regulatory meetings, conducted in collaboration with BSI, a UK-based notified body.
A highlight of the event was the introduction of the Aphranel® MagicCrystal Arc™, marking a new chapter in the company's journey and aligning perfectly with its brand philosophy titled 'The Poetics of Time.' This product extends Aphranel®'s commitment to innovative facial contouring and regenerative aesthetics.
In addition, the summit featured a multidisciplinary roundtable that explored innovation in biomaterials, regenerative medicine, clinical applications, and the vital role of Chinese innovation in the global aesthetic medicine arena. Key researchers, including Professor Yuan Tun from the National Engineering Research Center for Biomaterials at Sichuan University, presented insights into the degradation kinetics and tissue remodeling mechanisms of Aphranel® CaHA microspheres, further enhancing understanding of the brand’s focus on controlled biodegradation.
Another exciting announcement was the launch of 'The Norns’ Plan', an academic initiative aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in regenerative aesthetics. This initiative seeks to promote international medical education, collaborative research, and a global mentor system in regenerative aesthetics, showcasing Aphranel®'s dedication to enhancing medical standards worldwide.
As Aphranel® continues to expand its reach into Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, it remains committed to investment in scientific research that shapes the future of regenerative aesthetics. According to Guangming Lin, Aphranel®’s founder,
