Overview of the Aichi Deeptech Launchpad Program
The Aichi Deeptech Launchpad focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage startups, providing comprehensive growth support. These services encompass:
- - R&D Funding: Up to 40 million yen (total budget of 800 million yen) to eligible startups for research and development expenses.
- - Business Acceleration: A structured support system that includes mentoring and networking opportunities to foster business growth.
- - Industry Connections: Assistance in connecting with industries within Aichi Prefecture and facilitating PoC development.
- - International Expansion Support: Guidance and resources to help startups navigate global markets.

Important Dates for the 2026 Program
The application period spans from April 23, 2026, to May 27, 2026. During this time, selected startups will receive focused support through mentoring sessions from July to January, with meetups planned in July, October, and February. The deadline for submissions is May 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM, which must be received by the admin office by this time.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the program, companies must meet several criteria:
- - Sector: Engage in the deep tech field, which consists of innovative and cutting-edge research and technology originating from universities or research institutions.
- - Stage: Primarily focused on pre-seed and seed stages.
- - Established Timeline: Startups should be within 10 years of inception.
- - Registration: Must be commercially registered, though applicants seeking R&D funding may apply even if unregistered.
- - Location: Based in Japan (not limited exclusively to Aichi Prefecture).
- - Industry Compatibility: Have plans to collaborate with industries within Aichi.
- - Compliance: No affiliations with antisocial forces or related entities.
Selection and Application Process
The program will select approximately five companies, including those qualifying for R&D funding. Interested startups should complete the application form provided and adhere to the deadline of May 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Information Session and Recommendations
The recruitment briefing for this year will be held online on May 12, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Japanese time) via Zoom. This session is free of charge and will explain the application process and program details, though attendance is not mandatory for application consideration.
