About SSTR

SSTR stands for Sunrise Sunset Touring Rally and was conceived by adventurous motorcyclist Kazama Fukashi. Launched in 2013 with only 130 bikes, SSTR has evolved into Japan's largest touring rally. Unlike regular races that prioritize speed, SSTR is a festival centered on the themes of ‘adventure’ and ‘journey’.

Unique Format

The unique format of SSTR is particularly remarkable. Participants start along the eastern coast of Japan at sunrise and tour designated ‘stop points’ using a custom GPS system to gather points. They aim to reach the finish line at the Noto Peninsula by sunset. Riders choose their own start points and routes to the finish line, focusing not on speed but on achieving personal goals.
