About SSTR
SSTR stands for Sunrise Sunset Touring Rally and was conceived by adventurous motorcyclist Kazama Fukashi. Launched in 2013 with only 130 bikes, SSTR has evolved into Japan's largest touring rally. Unlike regular races that prioritize speed, SSTR is a festival centered on the themes of ‘adventure’ and ‘journey’.
Unique Format
The unique format of SSTR is particularly remarkable. Participants start along the eastern coast of Japan at sunrise and tour designated ‘stop points’ using a custom GPS system to gather points. They aim to reach the finish line at the
Noto Peninsula by sunset. Riders choose their own start points and routes to the finish line, focusing not on speed but on achieving personal goals. This individual approach, coupled with enthusiastic local support and corporate collaboration, amplifies the allure of the event.
Event Dates
The SSTR2026 will take place from
May 23 (Saturday) to
May 31 (Sunday). Riders and adventure lovers alike are encouraged to participate in what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of motorcycle culture and camaraderie.
