Milliken & Company Achieves 19th Consecutive Year on 2025 Most Ethical Companies List

Milliken & Company, a global leader in materials science, has been recognized once again as one of Ethisphere's 2025 World's Most Ethical Companies, marking the 19th consecutive year of this accolade. This recognition underscores Milliken's unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and integrity in its operations, as well as its determination to lead by example in the global manufacturing sector.

Since the inception of the award in 2006, Milliken has been among a select group of companies—only six—who have maintained their position on the list every year. The consistent recognition by Ethisphere highlights not just Milliken's business operations but also its corporate culture, which is deeply rooted in ethical standards and accountability.

Halsey Cook, President and CEO of Milliken & Company, expressed pride in the company's inclusion on the prestigious list, stating, “Our consistent presence in the World's Most Ethical Companies list reflects the collective efforts of our associates worldwide who embody our core values. We appreciate once again being recognized by Ethisphere and remain steadfast in our commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards across all operations.”

The recognition comes after a productive year for Milliken, in which the company made significant advances in areas related to corporate governance, ethical conduct, and compliance. Key initiatives included the introduction of updated policies on data protection, innovative compliance training programs for employees, and the achievement of ISO 27001 certification. Moreover, the company conducted thorough third-party risk management audits and earned a Gold rating from EcoVadis, a leading sustainability assessment platform.

Kasel Knight, Milliken’s Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, emphasized the importance of ethics in everyday actions. “We strive to create a culture where doing the right thing is second nature,” Knight said. “Ethical practices are crucial to Milliken's role as a trusted partner and an industry leader. This recognition motivates us to continually enhance our standards and practices.”

The evaluation process established by Ethisphere utilizes its proprietary Ethics Quotient, a detailed questionnaire that probes over 240 proof points encompassing a company's culture of ethics, social responsibility, environmental standards, diversity and inclusion, and the effectiveness of compliance programs. In this year's assessment, 136 companies from 19 countries and 44 industries were honored for their commitment to ethical practices.

Erica Salmon Byrne, Ethisphere's chief strategy officer and executive chair, praised Milliken, stating, “We are honored to recognize Milliken as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the 19th time. Their dedication to business integrity and ethical continuous improvement exemplifies the characteristics that define a long-term honoree.”
