Santa Anita Trophy Celebrates 31 Years of Friendship

Tokyo City Keiba (TCK) is excited to announce the return of the Santa Anita Trophy (SⅢ), a unique handicap race held in partnership with the renowned Santa Anita Park in the U.S. From July 20 to July 24, during the sixth race meeting of the season, TCK will host this prestigious event, marking over three decades of successful collaboration.

Event Highlights

During this exhilarating five-day event, the rich atmosphere of American horse racing will permeate Oi Racecourse. Fans can enjoy not only high-stakes racing but also the TCK official YouTube live program "Umakyun," which will feature a lineup of fascinating guests, engaging discussions, and in-depth race forecasts.

One of the key highlights will be the Santa Anita Trophy race itself on July 22. Raced over a thrilling 1,600 meters, this event is the only handicap race of its kind at Oi Racecourse and promises heart-pounding excitement and competition among the participating horses.

Special Guests on "Umakyun"

The broadcasts on July 21 and July 23 will feature special guests that you won't want to miss. Comedy icon HG from the duo "Razor Ramon" will make his debut on July 21, bringing his vibrant energy and bold predictions to the event. Will his well-known catchphrase “For!” lead to big wins?

On July 23, former Japanese volleyball representative Motoko Obayashi will join the program. Known for her powerful spikes, Motoko will share her insights and predictions for the races, adding a sporty flair to the mix.
