The Crankworx Whistler 2025 event held from August 8-17 gathered the elite mountain biking community in British Columbia, Canada, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this prestigious competition series. Over the years, Crankworx has risen to become synonymous with top-tier mountain biking, featuring a festival atmosphere teeming with racing and freestyle competitions.

In this exhilarating edition, Monster Energy's Dante Silva soared to victory in the Specialized Dual Slalom event. The competition took place in the iconic Boneyard on Whistler Mountain, a course known for its tight gates and challenging jumps. In front of an electrifying crowd of 8,000 enthusiasts, the 22-year-old rider from San Diego, California, demonstrated remarkable skill and determination to secure his first-ever win at Whistler.

The Specialized Dual Slalom format pits two competitors against each other in a side-by-side race against the clock, creating a thrilling spectator experience. Silva's journey to the championship began with an intense quarter-finals showdown against Australia’s Luke Meier-Smith, which he successfully navigated. The stakes rose higher in the semi-finals where he faced off against Canadian rider Tegan Cruz, a favorite in his hometown. Meanwhile, Luke Mallen, a promising 17-year-old from Sandy, Utah, followed suit and captured second place in the U19-Men Division, finishing with an impressive time of 428.634 seconds.

In the Red Bull Joyride freestyle competition, another athlete from the Monster Energy team, Paul Couderc, showcased his skills. After facing difficulties during his initial run, the 28-year-old from Auch, France, made a triumphant comeback during his second attempt, executing a sequence of challenging tricks. His performance landed him a score of 80.80 points, which secured him ninth place for the event and third overall in the 2025 Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship series.
