Midea Unveils Comprehensive HVAC Solutions at C&R 2025
From November 18 to 20, 2025, Midea Air Conditioning took center stage at C&R 2025, Spain's premier trade fair dedicated to professionals in heating, cooling, and ventilation. The company presented a range of innovative and sustainable products that showcase its commitment to energy efficiency, natural refrigerants, and smart air conditioning technologies.
One of the highlights was Midea's R290 series, embodying the brand's philosophy of ‘GREEN VISION BLUE FUTURE.’ As the first company globally to market R290 air conditioning units, Midea ventured into this space in 2010 with a pilot production line supported by the UN. Today, it operates 12 cutting-edge production lines with an annual capacity of 6.4 million units, significantly contributing to global carbon emission reductions and the establishment of international standards for environmentally friendly refrigerants.
With a robust research team comprising over 10,000 engineers and 42 pilot laboratories, Midea has developed an extensive array of R290 products tailored for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This strategic vision aims to evolve and democratize green technologies for all.
Another standout at the event was the ECOMASTER system, which utilizes artificial intelligence to optimize the performance of Midea's air conditioning units, particularly in energy consumption reduction. By continuously monitoring indoor conditions and external weather, it adjusts in real-time with a tolerance of ± 0.3°C, ensuring steady comfort while achieving energy savings exceeding 30%. Featured in models like Solstice and Solunar, ECOMASTER sets new benchmarks for efficiency, with Solstice achieving an A+++ rating for cooling and A++ for heating, while Solunar boasts A++ for cooling and A+ for heating.
Midea’s PortaSplit portable air conditioner also drew attention for its high performance and versatile installation options. With a SEER of 6.1 and an SCOP of 4.0, it fits various European window styles, from French balconies to slanted roofs. This adaptability allows it to function seamlessly in a range of homes, from modern apartments to heritage buildings. Demonstrations on the exhibition stand highlighted its tool-free, three-step installation process, leading to strong market demand and even a sell-out during its launch in France.
Additionally, the H-Pack was showcased as a compact heating solution featured in this year’s innovation gallery at C&R. Based on low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, digital control, and circular economy principles, this unit, developed by Midea's European R&D team, employs environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant, eliminating the need for external units. Its modular design is compatible with gas boiler systems, simplifying installation and maintenance while combining efficiency and compactness for modern heating needs. Live demonstrations by German experts illustrated its user-friendly architecture and practical benefits.
Beyond product showcases, Midea fostered industry engagement through interactive workshops during the event, facilitating technical exchanges and collaboration opportunities. The brand amplified its visibility beyond the exhibition hall with promotional campaigns highlighting its dual sponsorship of Manchester City and Sevilla FC across Gran Vía, Feria de Madrid, and IFEMA, underscoring Midea's commitment to community engagement, passion, and excellence.
Midea continues to advance its mission of intelligently transforming residential and industrial environments. By prioritizing sustainability and innovation, the company envisions a future characterized by the collaboration between humans and machines. Through the integration of KUKA's industrial robotics and MIRA's home automation technologies, Midea aims to redefine efficiency and enhance human experience, empowering individuals to unleash their creativity and progress.
