On November 25, 2025, PICORE Co., Ltd. launched an innovative film format called 'Daily Cinema,' which presents a unique vertical storytelling experience in a serialized format. This new visual content is released daily for a limited time, and the inaugural series 'Love-Earthlings' is now available, with the first seven episodes already streaming for free.

Directed by Shinichiro Ueda, known for his cinematic success with films like 'One Cut of the Dead,' 'Love-Earthlings' invites audiences to explore a heartfelt narrative woven around memories. The story follows a high school boy who, in a bid to obtain the phone number of his crush, inadvertently concocts a tale that leads him to invite her to star in an amateur film. This pivotal moment marks the beginning of an unexpected journey into the world of filmmaking.

In episode six, the backstory of the protagonist, Shinpei Hamada, played by rising star Shinsuke Kato, is brought to light. Plot Summary



Set in the year 2000, the story unfolds in a coastal town where a high school student named Shinpei stumbles into filmmaking after boldly claiming to his classmate Mai that he needs her for a role in his film. As he navigates the ups and downs of filmmaking, Shinpei becomes increasingly engrossed in the project, which he titles 'Love-Earthlings.' The plot thickens as he falls for a transfer student, who turns out to be an alien sent to conquer Earth. However, everything takes a darker turn when Shinpei experiences a surreal moment where Mai's face becomes unrecognizable.

The narrative transcends time when it abruptly shifts to a scene in 2025, revealing a 41-year-old Shinpei, now wearing headgear and experiencing memory issues related to early-onset Alzheimer's. He visits a memory recreation salon to relive his past, demonstrating the tension between his youthful aspirations and current struggles.
