Envision Presents Integrated Energy Solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026
On June 24, 2026, Envision made a significant impression at Intersolar Europe, introducing its comprehensive capabilities in integrated energy systems. With a focus on providing manageable clean energy for artificial intelligence (AI), industries, and power grids, Envision highlighted how it connects, stores, and manages energy efficiently.
During this event, Envision showcased its AI-Powered Energy System, which caters specifically to the energy demands of AI data centers, the Gen 8 4.X MWh Long Duration Energy Storage System (LDES), and a complete Hybrid Wind-Solar-Storage Solution featuring Envision’s proprietary solar inverter.
Envision's approach reflects its commitment to a holistic methodology. The integrated energy solutions encompass battery cells, energy storage systems, power electronics, digital platforms, and real-time coordination. These technologies address three critical scenarios: powering AI infrastructure, stabilizing power grids heavily reliant on renewable energy sources, and accelerating industrial decarbonization.
Kevin Huang, Senior Vice President and Head of Envision’s Energy Storage Product Line, emphasized, "The critical barrier for the growth of AI and industry is increasingly reliable, affordable, and low-carbon energy availability. The next phase of the energy transition will not only be defined by cost per watt-hour but by the overall competitiveness of the electrical system. Our goal is to make renewable energy not only clean but also stable, manageable, and economically competitive at scale."
AI-Powered Energy Systems for Data Centers
The AI Energy System addresses a crucial challenge: the demand for computing power is outpacing the supply of clean, stable, and cost-effective energy required to meet it. Utilizing AI-driven physical models, this system optimizes energy generation, network interaction, storage, and computational loads across three layers. It integrates hybrid wind, solar, and storage systems at the grid side, battery energy storage systems (BESS) for grid-forming capabilities at the medium voltage substation level, and an 800V DC energy architecture that integrates solid-state transformer (SST) technology with energy storage.
The 2.5 MW SST container from Envision converts 10/13.8 kV AC input into 800V DC output, achieving conversion efficiencies of up to 98.5% while significantly reducing copper usage by up to 80%. To meet the dynamic energy demands of AI data centers, Envision offers two complementary energy storage solutions operating on 800V DC. The compact LFP-based energy storage system provides up to 2.5 MW with durations exceeding two hours for backup power and energy management, while the sodium-ion solution responds swiftly, charging and discharging within minutes. This allows for enhanced thermal stability, high power capability, and extended lifespan.
These technologies collectively enable AI data centers to operate more efficiently, resiliently, and optimize the use of renewables, supporting the increasingly dynamic load profiles of advanced GPU clusters.
In practice, Envision's power system for AI has exhibited its potential to significantly enhance energy efficiency in computing, bolster reliable renewable energy supply for computational loads, reduce network commissioning timelines, and unlock additional capacity from existing network resources, tailored to project conditions.
Currently operational at the Chifeng Net-Zero Industrial Park, the AI energy system supports a pioneering power coordination project developed with Tencent, a leading cloud service and AI technology provider. Additionally, in Ulanqab, Envision is constructing the Envision Galaxy Campus, a gigawatt-scale AI data center powered directly by renewable energy, exemplifying infrastructure planning around clean and manageable energy from inception.
Furthermore, this initiative lays the groundwork for Mission Gobi, Envision’s global endeavor to deploy 5 GW of eco-friendly AI data center capacity in desert and arid regions by 2030.
Gen 8 Long Duration Energy Storage for Renewable-Rich Grids
Envision also launched the Gen 8 4.X MWh Long Duration Energy Storage System, explicitly designed for grids with high renewable penetration and stable power supply. Built with Envision's proprietary battery cells and SiC chain PCS technology, this system provides 250% overload capacity for grid-forming applications, maintaining real voltage source behavior during significant transients assessed in grid impact studies, supporting developers in competing for grid service contracts.
With storage capabilities ranging from 8 to 16 hours, the system achieves a full cycle efficiency of up to 91% and is designed for a lifespan of 25 years. In applicable scenarios, it aims to improve project internal rates of return by 1 to 3% through heightened system efficiency, compact deployment, and long-term operational value.
Gen 8 also enhances charge state accuracy by up to 2% and operates with noise levels 15 dB(A) lower than industry standards. Its design for demanding environments assures reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 50 °C, with optional C5H-grade corrosion protection. Its modular architecture reduces space occupied by over 30% compared to typical 5 to 7 MWh systems, maintaining unit weight below 30 tons for easier transport and installation.
Comprehensive Hybrid Solutions for Continuous Clean Energy
Envision's hybrid wind-solar-storage solution provides manageable clean energy 24/7 for industrial and utility clients throughout the project lifecycle—from design and delivery to long-term operations. At Intersolar Europe 2026, the company further expanded this solution with the European launch of its grid-connected string photovoltaic inverter. This integration combines proprietary power electronics with a real-time coordination platform to facilitate the integrated operation of solar storage within a unified system architecture.
The solution enables millisecond-level coordination from module to plant, enhancing project performance, reliability, and profitability. For industrial clients, Envision’s resource-network-load-storage approach coordinates on-site renewable generation, storage, grid interconnection, and energy consumption to lower costs and enhance supply stability. Envision also offers comprehensive lifecycle services covering forecasting, planning, management, and operations, assisting clients in optimizing performance from project development through decades of operation.
