Anticipation Builds for the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The exhilarating finale of the
2025 Formula One World Championship is set to unfold at the illustrious
Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this weekend. After a gripping season, the competition has reached a thrilling climax, with the drivers' championship poised for a three-way battle involving Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri.
Max Verstappen's recent victory in Qatar has positioned him as a top contender, currently holding 396 points—just 12 behind leader Lando Norris. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri, who earned pole position, remains in striking distance, trailing Norris by only 18 points. The stage is set for a modern classic, reminiscent of past seasons, but this will mark the first time since 2010 that three drivers have entered the final race with a chance to clinch the championship.
Verstappen, vying for his fifth world championship title, boasts an impressive record at Yas Marina, having won four out of the last five races held at this circuit. However, Norris broke that streak in 2024, adding extra tension to this year’s showdown.
