CAKES Body Launches 'She's Not Too Young' Campaign to Promote Breast Health Awareness

CAKES Body's Commitment to Breast Health

CAKES body, renowned for its innovative solutions in women's intimate apparel, is stepping up its commitment to breast health awareness through the reintroduction of its impactful "She's Not Too Young" campaign. Launched in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), this initiative aims to support research and education related to breast cancer, particularly for younger women, a demographic increasingly affected by this disease.

The company has pledged a minimum of $250,000 to the BCRF by June 2027 and has already invested over $1.5 million in women's health initiatives. This renewed campaign underscores CAKES body's dedication to empowering women to prioritize their breast health, especially as breast cancer rates among women under 40 continue to climb.

Raising Awareness Among Younger Women

Taylor Capuano, Co-Founder of CAKES body, emphasizes the brand's origins in understanding women's needs and creating solutions that address often overlooked issues. "Breast cancer is no longer just an older woman’s disease," Capuano states. The company aims to reshape the narrative and encourage younger women to be proactive about their breast health. This change in perception is vital, as many continue to believe that breast cancer is a concern only for older generations.

Anna Crollman, CAKES' Director of Brand Marketing and a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at 27, reinforces this message: "Our goal is to transform how younger women view breast health—seeing it as an empowering part of their health journey. By spreading awareness and increasing education, we hope to alter the futures of women today and those who will face this battle in the years to come."

The Give Back Bundle: A Valuable Resource

To support the campaign, CAKES body is unveiling a special October initiative titled the "Give Back Bundle." This limited-edition set showcases two of the brand's best-selling products, paired with essential breast health education resources. From October 1 to 31, 30% of profits from these bundles will be allocated to the BCRF, with up to $50,000 expected in donations.

The first 6,000 bundles will also include a donation of CAKES products to organizations dedicated to assisting breast cancer survivors, previvors, and patients, presenting a dual initiative toward health education and community support. The campaign's centerpiece is a Breast Health Checklist provided within each bundle. It outlines essential steps that all women can take to stay vigilant about their breast health, encompassing awareness of personal risk factors, understanding normal breast appearance, and regular check-ups.

Changing the Conversation About Breast Cancer

The statistics speak volumes: breast cancer is currently the leading cause of cancer-related mortality for U.S. women aged 20-49, with a notable increase in diagnoses among those under 40. Moreover, approximately 80% of breast cancer cases in younger females occur in individuals without a family history of the disease.

Recognizing these alarming trends, CAKES body’s research fund is dedicating itself entirely to understanding the unique challenges that younger women face in relation to breast cancer. As part of this proactive approach, the campaign promotes a simple, yet powerful, behavioral message: the act of donning or removing CAKES products can serve as a tangible reminder for women to check in on their breast health regularly.

The BCAM Bundle features CAKES' popular Sticky CAKES™ and Grippy CAKES™ products, available in various styles to suit individual preferences. The aim is to empower women to integrate health checks into their daily routines seamlessly.

A Broader Vision for Women's Health

The "She's Not Too Young" initiative is just one of the many projects under CAKES Care, the brand's broader commitment to improving women’s health and advancing their wellbeing. Earlier this year, CAKES collaborated with organizations focused on reproductive health and genetic considerations, funding initiatives aimed at supporting individuals at risk of inherited cancers. Through these efforts, CAKES body is not only contributing to research but helping to transform the landscape of women's health education and support.

The CAKES body Give Back Bundle will be sold exclusively at cakesbody.com throughout October, encouraging support for breast health education while enhancing awareness and proactive health management among women.
