Valmet Expands Partnership with Lila Group by Supplying Fifth Tissue Production Line
In a major development for the tissue paper industry, Valmet, a Finnish leader in process technologies, has announced it will supply a complete Advantage DCT 200 tissue production line to Lila Group’s new manufacturing site located in Erzurum, Turkey. This agreement, part of Valmet's orders received for the first quarter of 2025, highlights the ongoing collaboration between the two companies, which have enjoyed a fruitful partnership through previous projects.
Project Overview
The new tissue machine, designated TM 5, will feature a full range of advanced capabilities to enhance production efficiency. It will include stock preparation systems, a rewinder, and a comprehensive automation package designed to minimize energy consumption while maximizing output. This latest project signifies Valmet’s commitment to supporting Lila Group’s expansion efforts in Turkey.

Technical Specifications
The new TM 5 production line will be outfitted with several key technologies that Valmet is well-known for, including a ViscoNip press, a Yankee Dryer, and a SoftReel reel. The machine is designed for efficiency, with a width of 5.6 meters and a capable design speed of 2,200 meters per minute, projected to produce an impressive 70,000 tons of tissue products annually for both domestic and export markets.
Additionally, the package will comprise Valmet’s state-of-the-art automation technologies such as the Valmet DNA Distributed Control System (DCS), the Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS), and Valmet IQ Softness Measurement. Furthermore, Valmet will support the installation through startup, commissioning, and operator training.
