The Child and Family Agency of Japan is excited to announce a slogan contest for the upcoming 'Kodomo Mannaka' Child Welfare Week for the 9th year of the Reiwa era, seeking entries from the public to represent this annual event. The contest runs from August 1 to September 30, 2023.
Background of Child Welfare Week
Starting from May 5 every year, which is celebrated as Children's Day, this one-week event aims to focus on the well-being of children. The initiative was launched in 1947, and this year marks its 81st iteration. It embodies the aspiration for a future in which children grow up with dreams and hopes, while fostering an environment that nurtures their diverse individuality and resilience.
Throughout the week, various activities will take place across the country, encouraging everyone to engage in discussions and actions that contribute to the healthy growth of children. The selected slogan will serve as the face of Child Welfare Week, being featured in various promotional materials and events nationwide.
