SERMATEC Expands Operations in Europe: KEY 2025 Success and New 200 MWh Contract in Poland

In an impressive display at the KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2025 held in Italy, SERMATEC, renowned for its innovation in energy storage solutions, has made substantial strides in advancing its operations in Europe. The event, which showcased pivotal developments in the energy sector, was a platform for SERMATEC to highlight its latest state-of-the-art commercial and industrial storage systems, while also connecting with key stakeholders in the industry.

At the expo, SERMATEC introduced its cutting-edge EasyCube energy storage systems, available in 215 kWh and 372 kWh configurations, alongside its Serlattice series with a capacity of 4,888 MWh, and containerized storage solutions boasting 5,015 MWh. Notably, the EasyCube series, specifically designed for Italy’s solar storage hybrid applications, integrates Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) functionality and supports direct Photovoltaic-DC connections for heightened scalability. Furthermore, the 372 kWh unit is equipped with a robust battery immersion fire protection system and an IP55 rated enclosure to enhance outdoor durability.

This exhibition marked a significant milestone for SERMATEC, as the EasyCube series achieved vital certifications such as CEI 0-21 for low voltage grid connection and CEI 0-16 for medium and high voltage networks in Italy. These certifications underscore compliance with Italian grid regulations, laying the groundwork for broader market adoption.

Beyond its success in Italy, SERMATEC is bolstering its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe by securing a substantial 200 MWh energy storage contract with a prominent Polish energy developer. Deliveries are set to commence in May 2025, reinforcing SERMATEC's commitment to supporting Poland's energy transition and decarbonization efforts. Poland, which has traditionally relied heavily on coal, is rapidly becoming a crucial market for energy storage solutions, driven by increasing renewable penetration and regulatory incentives.

The company’s European headquarters in Frankfurt, along with its manufacturing facility in Spain, ensures agile delivery and post-sale support tailored to regional market demands.
