Dastjerdi, a noted expert in corneal diseases. With over thirty years of experience, Dr. Dastjerdi is expected to play a pivotal role in the NYU Langone Eye Center as he establishes the region's first ocular surface stem cell transplant program.
Dr. Dastjerdi’s career is marked by his extensive training across two continents, equipping him with a wealth of knowledge in the medical and surgical treatment of complex corneal issues, including corneal transplantation, dry eye syndrome, and corneal neovascularization. Before joining NYU Langone Health, he served as an associate professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he specialized in corneal and external diseases, cataract surgery, and anterior segment trauma.
