Hyundai Boosts Community Health and Sustainability in Coastal Georgia
Hyundai Strengthens Local Communities in Coastal Georgia
Hyundai has reaffirmed its commitment to Coastal Georgia through substantial support for several noteworthy nonprofit organizations dedicated to sustainability, community welfare, and health initiatives. The company's corporate social responsibility program, known as Hyundai Hope, has made significant strides in bolstering the capabilities of these organizations, aiming to improve the quality of life in the region.
On May 14 and 16, 2025, Hyundai representatives participated in events that showcased the company's generous donations to three major organizations: Ducks Unlimited, Make-A-Wish Georgia, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
Supporting Environmental Conservation with Ducks Unlimited
Hyundai's partnership with Ducks Unlimited initially started last year. In their latest initiative, they contributed $25,000 to aid in the conservation of wetlands and waterfowl in Coastal Georgia. Ducks Unlimited is known as the world’s largest private wetlands conservation organization, focusing on the restoration and management of critical habitats vital for North America’s waterfowl. This funding will specifically support their Southeast Wetlands Initiative in Georgia, emphasizing the importance of ecological preservation in the region.
Bringing Wishes to Life with Make-A-Wish Georgia
Since 2023, Hyundai has supported Make-A-Wish Georgia by donating a total of $30,000. This collaboration enables the organization to fulfill life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses, offering them hope and joy in times of difficulty. Tim Earley, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Georgia, expressed gratitude for Hyundai's unwavering support, highlighting the positive transformation it brings to the children and their families during challenging times.
Creating Home Away from Home with Ronald McDonald House
Hyundai also joined hands with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire in 2023, contributing $35,000 towards their mission. The organization provides essential housing and support for families with sick children who require hospital care, significantly aiding in their healing processes. This initiative enhances the quality of life for these families as they navigate difficult circumstances, making the Ronald McDonald House not just a shelter, but a sanctuary filled with love and care.
Hyundai’s Continued Commitment
Drew Ferguson, the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for Hyundai Motor Group and a Georgia native, emphasized the company's long-standing dedication to the state. He noted that Hyundai's efforts extend beyond job creation and economic investment, as giving back to the communities where employees live and work stands as a core part of their mission. “It’s an honor to support these worthy organizations that do so much for our communities,” he stated.
Hyundai Hope: A Broader Initiative
Hyundai Hope reflects the company’s overarching commitment to societal progress, focusing on ways to foster positive change in communities. By partnering with entities that support health and safety, Hyundai aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and the overall community.
