Segway Powersports Revives Quad Challenge at Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, Supporting European ATV Racing Culture

Segway Powersports Revives Quad Challenge

In a remarkable comeback, Segway Powersports has revitalized the Quad Challenge at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, held from June 4 to June 7 in Erzberg, Austria. As the title sponsor of this exhilarating event, Segway is reaffirming its commitment to the international ATV racing circuit and the broader European off-road racing culture, which has seen declining presence in recent years.

The Red Bull Erzbergrodeo is celebrated as one of the toughest endurance races globally, challenging both the skills of the competitors and the durability of their machines in grueling conditions. After an eight-year absence, the reintroduction of the Quad Challenge adds a specialized platform for ATV endurance races within one of Europe’s most iconic off-road events. This not only provides participants with an opportunity to showcase their performance and resilience but also aims to foster the development of the ATV racing community.

Segway Powersports participated in the event with its flagship model, the Segway AT10. This high-performance off-road vehicle is equipped with a 999 cc engine, delivering an impressive output of 97 horsepower, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 120 km/h. The AT10's high ground clearance and steep approach angle (78%) make it exceptionally suited for tackling various challenging terrains. Following its global market launch, the AT10 has received positive feedback from users, cementing its status in the competitive landscape of ATV offerings.

The revival of the Quad Challenge represents a significant step towards re-establishing an essential segment of ATV endurance racing. It enables racers to compete at an esteemed event, enhancing both the competitive atmosphere and the communal aspect of ATV racing culture in Europe. Segway Powersports’ involvement in bringing back this category showcases its dedication to securing a sustainable future for ATV racing on a larger international scale.

Moreover, the Erzbergrodeo follows Segway Powersports' successful participation in the esteemed Mint 400 race earlier this year, regarded as a leading off-road race in North America. At this event, the Segway Super Villain SX20T achieved a podium finish, securing third place in the UTV Pro Stock Modified category. These events highlight Segway's growing investment in global off-road racing across diverse terrains and categories.

Moving forward, Segway Powersports will continue to participate in international off-road events, underpinning the value of its products in real-world racing conditions. By regularly engaging with the racing community, Segway aims to support ongoing product development, offer superior performance, and enhance the riding experience for enthusiasts worldwide. The company emphasizes its ongoing commitment to cultivating the growth of ATV racing and the global culture of off-road driving through continuous investment and active collaboration.

Segway is recognized internationally as a leader in the fields of micromobility, motorsports vehicles, and consumer robotics.
