Hollyland Launches Cosmo C2: A Smart Solution for Live Broadcasting

Hollyland Unveils Cosmo C2: Revolutionizing Live Broadcasting and EFP

On February 13, 2025, Hollyland, a prominent name in wireless intercom solutions, launched its latest product, the Cosmo C2. This innovative tool is tailored specifically for multi-camera live streaming and electronic field production (EFP), responding to crucial industry challenges identified through comprehensive market research.

Key Features of Cosmo C2

The Cosmo C2 stands out with its unique configuration of 2 transmitters (TX) and 1 receiver (RX), which effectively addresses several common issues found in traditional setups, typically reliant on just one of each. Many broadcasters struggle with excessive cabling, limited space on set, and synchronization delays between different camera feeds. The new design allows two transmitters to send image signals to a single receiver, significantly reducing equipment setup time and enhancing the synchronization of camera feeds.

One major advantage of the Cosmo C2 is its remarkable transmission range and low latency. The device offers an extended line-of-sight wireless transmission range of 3,000 feet (1,000 meters) and a back-to-back transmission distance exceeding 980 feet (300 meters). This feature effectively eliminates problems related to insufficient transmission distances, helping to prevent glitches and stuttering on-screen. With a latency of just 33ms, it surpasses the industry standard of 60ms, which can often cause misalignment in live events involving LED displays. Thus, it assures viewers a seamless experience in both display and streaming during events.

Unique to the Cosmo C2 is Hollyland's proprietary HEVO2.0 technology, adept at tackling frequent transmission challenges like screen disruptions or stuttering from external interferences. This smart technology can detect surrounding frequency interference and shift to a clearer channel to ensure smooth and uninterrupted transmissions. Furthermore, the receiver increases visual fluency by converting low frame rate inputs to a crisp 60P using an advanced frame rate compensation algorithm. In cases of unexpected signal loss, the system retains the last displayed frame, eliminating sudden logo appearances during commercial streams.

Simplifying Workflows

The Cosmo C2 also makes complex streaming workflows significantly easier. With plug-and-play compatibility for outputs like NDI, UVC, and RTMP, it enhances the user experience. NDI support is integrated directly into the receiver, facilitating seamless video streaming over a local area network without requiring extra converters. Additionally, for direct UVC streaming, users can conveniently connect via a USB-C to USB-C cable, negating the need for a separate capture card. Its RTMP capability promotes direct cloud streaming, making real-time transmissions simpler by eliminating dependencies on external devices.

Recognizing the varied needs of video professionals, the Cosmo C2 supports both HDMI and SDI connections, ensuring compatibility across different frame rates. The comprehensive input and output options include HDMI Input, SDI Input, and SDI Loopout on the transmitter, along with multiple outputs for HDMI and SDI on the receiver.

Power Flexibility for Reliability

The usability of the system is further enhanced by its power flexibility. The transmitter supports both DC power and NP-F batteries, while the receiver is compatible with DC power and V-Mount batteries. This versatility guarantees uninterrupted operation in diverse filming scenarios.

Availability and Pricing

Designed to meet the evolving needs of live broadcasting and EFP, the Hollyland Cosmo C2 is now available for purchase through local distributors and on the Hollyland Amazon store. The pricing structure is as follows:
