International Exchange between Cambodian and Japanese Children through AR Sports HADO

In an inspiring collaboration, Meleap Inc. conducted an AR sports experience featuring HADO as part of the international exchange program "OLYMPIC Trials 2025," co-hosted with Nara Prefecture's Uda City, Wakayama Prefecture's Nachikatsuura Town, and organizations like CIESF and the Public-Private Partnership Promotion Association. The event was aimed at enriching international connections among youth, celebrating Uda City’s 20th anniversary and Nachikatsuura Town’s 70th anniversary.

About the Program

This initiative invited ten students from Cambodia's leading educational institution, the CIESF Leaders Academy, to Japan. They participated in a diverse array of activities alongside local elementary school students, including swimming and beach sports taught by Olympic medalists, as well as educational sessions on seaside safety. These experiences not only enhanced cultural exchange but also offered a unique opportunity to build friendships and teamwork through amazing activities.

Particularly significant was the experience of HADO, an advanced AR sport gaining global attention for its innovative nature. This game was positioned as a new way for children from different backgrounds to challenge themselves collaboratively while enhancing communication skills. HADO's engaging gameplay, requiring physical movement along with strategic thinking and teamwork, created a seamless environment for friendship and unity among newcomers.

During the actual gameplay, children were observed cheering for each other, transcending competition, with many expressing feelings of wanting to participate more and discovering the joy of teamwork. The experience proved to be much more than just a recreational activity; it acted as a valuable platform for cross-cultural understanding and collaborative learning, marking a significant achievement for all involved.
