The 138th China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, officially commenced on October 15, 2025, in Guangzhou, drawing in a remarkable 240,000 pre-registered buyers from 218 markets worldwide. This year's event, which has increased its buyer participation by 10% compared to the previous fair, showcases a significant surge in attendees from the European Union, United States, and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The zone will feature the latest innovations from 47 leading companies, including medical robots and smart diagnostic systems, reflecting the rapid growth in the digital healthcare market.

Enhancing Buyer Experience via Smart Technologies

This year's fair has placed a strong emphasis on enhancing the buyer experience through technology. Upgrades to the fair's smart navigation services include the introduction of four intelligent tools: Stand Navigation, Complex Guidance Systems, the ASK ME AI Assistant, and Smart Wayfinder Kiosks. These tools enable buyers to navigate the exhibition effortlessly with just one click, streamlining their experience and making browsing more efficient and enjoyable.

Sustainability Takes Center Stage

In addition to its focus on innovation, the Canton Fair has made sustainability a pivotal element of this year's event. More than one million environmentally-friendly and low-carbon products will be on display throughout the fair. A pilot project focusing on modular stand constructions has also been introduced, designed to shorten setup times, reduce costs, and minimize the environmental impact by utilizing reusable 'building block' components.
