Ben Trodd Takes Leadership Role at Four Seasons Yachts
In a significant move for the luxury maritime sector,
Four Seasons Yachts has appointed
Ben Trodd as its new CEO, effective July 1, 2025. This announcement comes as the company prepares for the launch of its inaugural luxury yacht in 2026, marking a new chapter in the Four Seasons brand's storied legacy in hospitality.
Trodd, who has dedicated over 25 years to Four Seasons, will be steering the operations of
Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., the joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts. His extensive experience and profound understanding of the luxury hospitality landscape position him perfectly to oversee the technical operations, planning, and marketing initiatives for this ambitious venture.
A Visionary Appointment
His appointment is seen as a pivotal moment, not just for Trodd himself, but also for the entire Four Seasons brand as they expand their offerings to include maritime luxury experiences.
Alejandro Reynal, President and CEO of Four Seasons, stated, "The launch of Four Seasons Yachts represents a significant milestone in our company history as we continue to expand our experiential luxury ecosystem across our hotels, resorts, residences, Private Jet Experience, and now with Four Seasons Yachts. Ben brings a rare combination of brand and luxury insight, operational rigor, and leadership vision."
Ben Trodd's comprehensive background includes senior roles as General Manager, Regional Vice President, and Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Four Seasons. His unique blend of operational expertise and strategic insight, combined with his established connections in both sales and hospitality, equips him with the tools to ensure a seamless integration of luxury service onboard their future vessels.
What’s on the Horizon?
The debut of the first yacht, named
Four Seasons I, will revolutionize luxury maritime travel. It boasts an impressive lineup of features, including 95 residential-style suites designed for comfort and elegance, all paired with the legendary service the Four Seasons is known for. The yacht is designed to offer guests unparalleled experiences in exotic locations, primarily focusing on the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas.
With a strong crew support system, the plan is to maintain an 11:1 guest-to-staff ratio to guarantee personalized service that Four Seasons guests have come to expect. Onboard amenities will feature multiple dining options, state-of-the-art wellness facilities, and engaging activities for guests to indulge in while at sea.
Trodd's Journey
Trodd's journey with Four Seasons began at their first European hotel in London, where his commitment to excellence became apparent early in his career. He played a vital role in the company, leading various properties before ascending to his most recent position as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. This position not only honed his expertise but also involved him closely in the strategic planning for the introduction of Four Seasons Yachts.
"Four Seasons is a brand I know well, with a vision that I believe in deeply," Trodd remarked upon his appointment. He emphasized the honor of translating the service excellence perfected on land to the maritime setting, promising guests an unparalleled experience from the moment they board the vessel.

The second yacht,
Four Seasons II, is also slated for launch in 2027, promising to further solidify Four Seasons Yachts as a key player in the luxury cruise market.
