Multilingual Support in Japanese Hospitality: NOHGA Hotels Embrace 'Mieru Tsuyaku' for Visitor Satisfaction
Enhancing Multilingual Communication at NOHGA Hotels
In May, Japan saw an increase in inbound tourists from various countries, including Malaysia and Mexico, leading to a pressing need for multilingual support at hotels and ryokans. In response to this demand, Terilogy Service Ware Inc. has announced that its multilingual video interpretation service, Mieru Tsuyaku, has been adopted by four facilities of Nomura Real Estate Hotels, including NOHGA HOTEL and Niwa Hotel Tokyo.
Rise in Inbound Tourism
According to Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), although the total number of visitors in May fell short compared to the previous year due to travel restrictions from China, the Middle East and Indian markets experienced record-high numbers. The surge indicated a growing diversity in international tourists visiting Japan, which highlights the need for effective communication with non-English-speaking guests.
