CTC RECORDS HYPER POPUP EXTEND Comes to Shibuya

CTC RECORDS, renowned for its innovative approach to music and culture, is excited to unveil its highly anticipated event, CTC RECORDS HYPER POPUP EXTEND, from March 13 to March 29, 2026, at Shibuya Modi's seventh floor. Following the overwhelming success of its previous installation in Shinjuku, this new venture promises to double in size and enhance the visitor experience by transforming it from a simple display to a participative space.

A 3D Reconstruction of MV Worlds

At the heart of this event is a unique take on the music video (MV) world. The artist r-906, famously known for the track "あなたしか見えないの (Only You Are Visible)" is set to be featured prominently through the innovative artwork of Pensil. Designed specifically for this event, the character Ⅳ番線ちゃん will be brought to life, creating a stunning visual centerpiece that embodies the spirit of the song. Moreover, attendees can look forward to fresh visual displays inspired by Masarada's tracks, including "ちっちゃな私" (Little Me) and "㋰責任集合体" (Collective Responsibility), allowing guests to engage with an immersive installation that feels like stepping straight into a music video.

UTAU Characters Introduction

Exciting developments extend to the promotion of UTAU characters, with exclusive visuals for Karo Kado and Mayoi Heki to be revealed for the first time during this event. Created by Abogado 6 and Hasegawa Maiko, these presentations are designed to cater to vocaloid enthusiasts and attract new fans alike.

Interactive Experience: Permanent Game Installation

Building on the interactive nature of previous exhibits, this event will include a hands-on gaming experience created by Watapi. Unlike prior installations, which focused on observation, guests will now have the chance to actively participate, making the experience not just visual but interactive.

Live Painting Performance

In a dynamic showcase of artistry, Eirina Hamono will be hosting live painting sessions throughout the event, with the exact times kept under wraps to surprise attendees. This process will be incorporated into the overall exhibition, enriching the narrative while highlighting the artistic journey.

Special PV Production

Special collaborative videos created by Akane Yomitan, Eirina Hamono, and Watapi will feature throughout the venue. These cinematic pieces will transcend conventional music video formats, evolving into a spatial expression that merges visual storytelling with the vibrant atmosphere of Shibuya.

Product Launch and Resales

The event will also introduce new merchandise designed specifically for this popup, featuring original artwork on various items. Furthermore, popular products sold out at the previous location will become available in limited quantities, providing a unique opportunity for fans to purchase exclusive items. Some items may be restocked during the event, while those sold out in Shibuya will be available once again at the Niconico Chokaigi event scheduled for April 25-26, 2026, and online during the Golden Week in May.
