Meiko Career Partners & Okinawa's Japanese Learning Initiative
In a significant development,
Meiko Career Partners, a subsidiary of
Meiko Network Japan, has been chosen for Okinawa's
Japanese Learning Support Project for Foreign Workers in the fiscal year 2023. This initiative aims to offer educational resources to local businesses struggling with the demand for Japanese language training among their foreign employees.
As many companies today grapple with staffing shortages, the integration of foreign workers has become increasingly crucial. However, facilitating adequate language training has proven to be a challenge for many employers. The Japanese Learning Support Project aims to address this issue by providing
e-learning systems and blended learning environments, making it easier for foreign workers to learn Japanese.
Details of the Initiative
The project, titled
“Okinawa Prefecture Foreign Workers Japanese Learning Support Project for FY 2023,” is specifically designed for businesses that employ foreign workers holding
specific skills visas such as
Type 1 Specified Skilled Worker and
Technical Intern Training. Through this initiative, 300 e-learning accounts will be made available free of charge, allowing for customized and efficient learning experiences.
Alongside this, Meiko Career Partners will provide ongoing support to both the participating companies and the learners to ensure sustained engagement and effective learning outcomes. This holistic approach is expected to enhance job retention rates among foreign employees across various sectors in Okinawa.
