Japan Benex Launches One of Kyushu's Largest Solar Power Plants

Japan Benex Launches Kyushu's Largest Rooftop Solar Plant

Japan Benex Co., Ltd., headquartered in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, has officially launched a major solar power plant named Benex Kyushin Solar Port in Fukuoka Prefecture. Situated atop the logistics facility YKW Kyushin Kubara, developed by Yoshida Shipping Logistics Solutions Co., Ltd., this solar installation boasts a total output capacity of approximately 3.7 megawatts (MW). This marks the first collaboration between Japan Benex and the Yoshida Shipping Group, showcasing a commitment to expanding renewable energy resources.

The solar power plant consists of two distinct systems: an on-site PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) system with a capacity of approximately 0.5 MW and a full FIP (Feed-in Premium) system with about 3.1 MW. Collectively, these systems are capable of generating an estimated 3,467,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually, which is equivalent to the annual energy consumption of approximately 1,155 households. The installation is recognized as one of the largest rooftop solar power facilities in Kyushu, emphasizing Japan Benex's position in the renewable energy landscape.
