Get ready for an exciting hands-on experience at Chofu PARCO this June! PATCH&PLAY, a prominent embroidery and alteration shop, is hosting the MY CHEER STYLE workshop on June 13th and 14th, organized by the creative community NewMake. With a mission to convert experiences into memorable moments, participants will have the chance to design and customize their clothing items using unique patches.

Patches are more than just decorative pieces; they tell stories and breathe new life into garments. PATCH&PLAY invites you to explore sustainability through customization rather than merely purchasing new items. By transforming existing clothes or bags with tailored patches, you are encouraged to express your individuality in a delightful, eco-friendly way.

Workshop Details

The MY CHEER STYLE workshop will feature custom patches exclusively created by selected designers. You will have the opportunity to embellish your own clothing items, as well as bags and caps available for purchase at the venue. This hands-on event will allow you to apply patches not only through traditional iron-on methods but also through stitching for better durability, detachable Velcro options, and even keychain transformations! Whether you come empty-handed or with your favorite item, the workshop promises diverse options for self-expression.

Why Participate?

We’re looking for talented patch creators who can bring fun and positivity to the workshop. If you have illustrations inspired by soccer, cheering, or anything that sparks joy, consider applying to be a part of this unique event. Designers will create ‘one-of-a-kind’ patches that attendees can use to customize their outfits, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

The goal is to change the narrative of fashion from mere consumption to a collaborative creation process where we cherish and enhance what already exists. PATCH&PLAY is about reimagining the act of mending clothing into an exciting journey of creativity.

Call for Patch Creators

If you're keen to participate as a patch designer, here are the details:

- Application Period: April 6 at 21:00 to April 12 at 23:59, 2026.
- Number of Creators Needed: A few select individuals.
- Eligibility: Must register for NewMake's community (free of charge).
- Selection Notification: Successful applicants will be notified via email by April 15, 2026.
