Pre-registration Now Open for CIBS 2026

The much-anticipated 2026 China (Shanghai) International Boat Show, also known as CIBS 2026, will make its grand return from March 29 to March 31, 2026, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC). This year's show is set against a backdrop of rapid advancements in the Chinese shipbuilding industry, where a focus on green transformation and intelligent technologies is steadily gaining momentum.

In partnership with Shanghai Tourism Plus and the Visual Merchandising Exhibition, CIBS 2026 will cover an expansive exhibition area exceeding 80,000 square meters. More than 50,000 domestic and international visitors are expected, along with over 1,000 brands showcasing the latest innovations in maritime technology. Attendees can look forward to more than 150 engaging events throughout the show.

This year's edition of the boat show promises a comprehensive exhibition system that centers around new technologies and equipment, backed by expert forums and interactive on-site experiences. A highlight will be the 2026 China International Forum on Boat Industry Development, which will serve as an essential dialogue platform addressing crucial industry themes, focusing on green technology and sustainable development for boats and yachts.

Additionally, the partnership between CIBS 2026 and the French National Association of the Nautical Industry (FIN) aims to foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange within the shipbuilding sector. This partnership seeks to deepen practical cooperation between Chinese and French shipbuilding enterprises, bolstering the industry's innovative and inclusive approach.

Notably, British brands specializing in small sailboats and windsurfing, represented by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), will make their official debut. The show will also host seminars in collaboration with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), adding to the event's educational offerings.

Besides the core exhibition, the show will feature multiple parallel events, including the Lifestyle Shanghai Show and the Lure Fishing Exhibition, offering vibrant on-site programs that facilitate direct engagement between B2B and B2C buyers. The Water Sports Exhibition, focusing on reducing carbon emissions, will present a unique opportunity to explore the integration of “cultural tourism” within the maritime sectors.

CIBS 2026 aims not only to showcase the maritime industry but also to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of boat culture and its associated technologies. The event will culminate in the ASIA MARINE BOATING AWARDS 2026, a gala dinner that is expected to attract hundreds of distinguished guests celebrating excellence in the boating industry.
