Sagent Announces Senior Appointments to Enhance Market Position for Dara Platform

Sagent Strengthens Leadership to Drive Dara Platform Growth

In a strategic move aimed at expanding its influence within the mortgage servicing technology landscape, Sagent has announced the appointment of two key executives: Art Calhoun as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Kim Warnica as the Vice President of Product Marketing. This enhancement of Sagent's leadership team is designed to propel the growth of the Dara platform, a critical player in America's vast $14 trillion mortgage servicing industry.

The CEO of Sagent, Geno Paluso, remarked on the urgency for top talent to support the phased rollout of Dara by Sagent throughout 2025. He emphasized the need for expertise to effectively communicate Dara's value proposition and integrate key partnerships into the platform’s servicing ecosystem. “Art Calhoun and Kim Warnica are essential to our goal of ensuring that Dara's real-time capabilities reach the maximum number of servicers nationwide,” Paluso stated.

Who Are the New Appointments?

Art Calhoun: Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Calhoun joins the Sagent family with a wealth of experience, having previously contributed to Wells Fargo as Executive Director of Vendor Oversight. His background includes managing vendor operations within mortgage servicing, focusing on contracts, risk management, and spend management. With over 20 years in the sector, his expertise spans end-to-end mortgage servicing, operations, and portfolio management.

At Sagent, Calhoun's primary focus will be to cultivate a robust partner program that aligns with customer needs. This initiative supports the overarching vision of an open ecosystem for the Dara platform, allowing servicers to incorporate their preferred vendors seamlessly into Sagent’s operational framework.

Kim Warnica: Vice President of Product Marketing

Kim Warnica arrives at Sagent after having held senior product marketing roles within notable firms like New American Funding, Homepoint, and Rocket Mortgage. She brings a rich background in executing go-to-market strategies that have successfully fueled growth and market share increase throughout her career.

In her new role, Warnica is tasked with overseeing product marketing operations across Dara’s service platforms. Her efforts will aim to attract new customers to the Dara system while also providing education and support to existing customers about the platform's diverse capabilities.

Strategic Goals Ahead

Both executives will report directly to Perry Hilzendeger, Sagent’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth, who leads various teams focused on growth strategies and customer success. Together, they are expected to play key roles in executing Sagent's objectives for scaling up the Dara platform, ensuring it remains the only fully modern end-to-end servicing solution available, capable of accommodating the diverse requirements of American mortgage servicers at an unprecedented scale.

Sagent, established as a foremost provider of mortgage servicing technology, is dedicated to streamlining operations, enhancing user experience, and boosting profitability for its clients. With the introduction of the Dara platform, it offers an extensive suite of tools tailored to meet the dynamic demands of the mortgage servicing sector.

Thus, with the addition of talent like Calhoun and Warnica, Sagent not only reaffirms its commitment to innovation in mortgage servicing technology but also takes a significant step forward in solidifying its market leadership amid evolving industry trends.
